At least 20 people were hurt following a shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., police said Friday.

The incident occurred at a cinema showing "The Dark Knight Rises".

Police said that one suspect was in custody. However, it was unclear whether other suspects were involved.

A bomb squad was on site at the Century 16 movie theater, police added.

AURORA - There are reports of a shooting at the Town Center at Aurora.

Aurora Police confirm they are responding to a shooting at the Century 16 Movie Theaters at the Aurora Town Center.

At this time, 9NEWS does not have confirmation regarding the number of people shot.

Nicole Williams, with Swedish Medical Center, says the hospital was allerted to a mass casualty incident at 1:15 a.m. Friday. Three patients in critical condition have already been transported to the hospital.

Williams says the hospital was told to prepare for up to 20 more patients.

According to Sky News, 10 people are dead, with 30-40 more injured.
 
Also watching Skynews, not much about the perpetrators yet.

So many nutcases in the world !

In the good old days people who didn't fit in were kicked out of the cave and were eaten by sabre-toothed tigers or long-legged bears.
 
Watching the news reports now. Apparently there was teargas thrown and the gunmen were masked - they just opened fire on the entire crowd. There were two shooters...:eek:
 
Something is wrong with Colorado. The Columbine shooting happened in that state as well.

Authorities now say 10 are dead and 39 injured.
 
And they identified "active devices" in their cars parked outside. Not entirely sure what "active devices" are but doesn't sound like it was an iPod on charge...

Shooter is 20 years old. 20 bloody years old...:eek:

Apparently hid a gun in the theatre beforehand as well as bringing two others with him. One being a rifle...

I only pick up Fox News here though - so probably all bullschit. Probably a toy gun and he farted in the bath...
 
TDK will always be remembered for the tragedy of Heath Ledger.
This guy seems to have wanted to create some sort of legacy on similar lines.
