The 2012 Castle Rugby Championship

Obviously haven't seen Mapoe play. He's one of the form centers in this years Currie Cup and offers versatility at wing. I'm surprised that a team that is leading the Currie Cup and is also the reigning champions will have the quality of their players questioned, especially so when one considers the difficulties and uncertainties facing their union.

He'll need a favour from Kirchner's injury to even make the bench anyway. If nothing else a great reward to be part of a Bok training squad following a productive season.

Glad for Mapoe. Mephisto_Helix, you just stated why Keegan is not picked. He is a loose forward not a centre / wing. :D

They won't do anything else but carry bags around this week.

Meyer picked them to gain some experience in the Bok camp and he probably has future plans with them.

If Meyer called up someone like Keegan Daniel, the Sharks(and their fans) would protest against it. Simply because they know he will not play and they'd much rather have him in the Currie Cup side for the weekend.

He will fit in just fine - he also drops the balls when it matters :p

Utility back Lionel Mapoe and loose forward Arno Botha have been called up to provide cover.

Clearer now?

Frans Steyn out for 3 months. Kirchner is seemingly also got a bit of a hip injury.

I hope they give Zane a rest and play Lambie. Good for both of them.

As to Frans Steyn.... I would like to see him at no. 13 as he does the crash ball at 12 and kills the back line. At 13 he could score a lot of tries if his no 12 just opens half a gap for him.

Unchanged starting XV and only one change on the bench.

Anyone in a green jersey doing that lifting tackle would have been off the field in a heartbeat with a yellow ......... but the AB's doing it and it's all daisies.
