(disclaimer: title is a generalization, but I know it doesn't apply to everybody)

So, one of my brother's friends came over this weekend, I spent some time with them (mostly ensuring my brother doesn't get ****faced) and lo and behold, this girl falls for me. And there lies part of the issue. Two days of knowing her and she's already trying to arrange that she spend the weekend at my flat this coming weekend.

I could still (kinda) overlook the fact that she's grade 12, seeing as there's only three months of school left for her. She's rather attractive, and normally I wouldn't really mind a relationship with someone like her, but this forwardness of hers just puts me off entirely. Not to mention I'm actually currently interested in someone else (note: male), who I'm still not sure is gay or not.

Obviously, nothing is going to come of it, and I still need to figure out a way to let her understand it gently, seeing as I'm more than willing to be friends with her. I'm just wondering, when did it become the norm for girls to be so forward? I don't like subscribing to gender stereotypes, but I'd expect this of a guy, not really a girl. Especially not a high-schooler.

yeah man, i just hate it when girls throw themselves at me..

I think girls or woman have as much right as guys to go after what they want..be it a guy or a proffesion. However, there is still something called tact...and this applies to both sexes.

My mother was engaged to my father (about this time of the year) back when she was in matric.

... and no ... I'm the first born and I was only born 6 years later.

True story.

Why didn't the bra Graal tell the girl he is gay.

This past weekend my friend told me about how one woman took him out and that she was the one paid for everything. He said he'll never do it again.

Stupid bastard. I'd kill for that.

There's an old Afrikaans saying .. "As dit pap reën moet jy skep".

Just come out of the closet OP, no biggie.

Or ask one of our local religious crew to pray/send you to straight-camp.

Hang on a tick, let me get this right. You have a high school chick after you, who is obviously in heat, but you are gay and you failed to mention this to her?

But I get what you are saying, I also find forward chicks a little bit of a turn off. Unless I am **** faced of course (and not married more importantly) :D
