Eskom: Living on the edge


Eskom has managed to pull us through the winter peak without a single unplanned blackout, but we are still running close to the edge
 
Credit where credit is due. They certainly did well given the sketchy reserve margins.

Weren't there some isolated blackouts when the Koeberg unit went down though? Was small scale, but I do recall something along those lines.
 
I actually can't remember a time since the load shedding where we weren't "close to the edge"...
