I don't agree with Hurt

Ones that spring to mind:
Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams
Nirvana - pretty much every cover they did, mainly cos the originals were rather bad and obscure (Meat Puppets, , Velvet Underground, Devo, Leadbelly, Shocking Blue & Vaselines)
 
I'm not going to come right out and say they are better than the original but Placebo's version of with Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill", Alanis Morissette's cover of "King of Pain" by the Police and Springsteen doing the Clash's "London Calling" kick ass.
 
Amy Lee doing Korn's Thoughtless is also pretty cool :)

I've been looking for a song for a long time but I had absolutely nothing in terms or lyrics, tune and artist, I just remembered a clip from a music video way back of a man pushing a machine up a hill. Watching Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" on Youtube now I saw the video I was looking for on the right!!! Kate Bush - Cloudbusting
