Do you get two versions of these?

I bought the server, RAM, HDDs and of course the GT610 ... asked if it'd fit ans the guy said yes :/ But it seems its too big

What exactly is not fitting? Can you post a pic?

What model is it? - Each manufacturer has their own design, but they should all be very similar.

OK ... bear in my first that I'm a salesperson - so perhaps I'm doing something wrong :P

Getting the pic - but the box says Nvidea Geforce GT610 ... and the bracket looks normal sized

That doesn't look like it's low profile that's why it doesn't fit. I have a GT210 that I cut to fit.

Yeah, you need a low profile bracket.
If the card didn't come with one, Esquire has them for R30-odd

Let me know if you need someone to hook you up :)

( The VGA connector disconnects from the board )

Ok - just disconnected the VGA and took off the bracket. Fits now (but I need one of those brackets cause it's loose) ... thanks ;)

So I want to plug in and see if the RAM etc works at least. If I connect an HDMI - it'll work and I'll see something?
No drivers etc?

Did you not get a shorter bracket in the box? Some do come with a shorter bracket.

Yes it will work, go ahead. Just don't move the cable or the card, keep it stable.

Nah - nothing in the box.

Shouldn't I see writing or something straight out the box? BIOS info?

The system should boot up 100% without drivers, but for any kind of video/3d acceleration, you will want to install the latest from nvidia's site.

Ok - I see nothing by plugging it into the motherboard VGA ...

I've probably done something wrong somewhere :/

Did you install the GT610? If you did then you have to connect a monitor to it and not the motherboard vga. The GT610 overrides the onboard gpu.

the GT210 and 610 have an identical form factor, Esquire stocks 210 low profile brackets so that should do you fine.

Your card doesn't ship with a low-profile bracket. You need that bracket because without it, you're asking for trouble (bent pins, damaged PCI slot, that sort of thing). Return the card and rather get one that comes with a low-profile bracket.

The onboard VGA port of the N40L should work right off the bat but it doesn't have an OS installed. Once you plug in the discrete graphics the onboard VGA is disabled unless you set it otherwise in the BIOS.

You should get the "Low profile bracket" nowadays they are included in the box with the standard one else you should get one from the suppliers. I have one spare, if you PM me your details I can send it if you cannot locate one. It's got the DVI at bottom and the HDMI above it.

Be careful that the card do not dislocate and move as then it may/will be blown
