R9 per GB for mobile data, reckons Nokia Siemens Networks

I'd rather pay R9/GB full stop (or even double that) than pay that per day for a daily 1GB allowance.
 
Of course this is optimal networks, inefficient networks like a certain red and yellow provider are unlikely to get to R27 per gig and that this cost probaby is only the last mile - which should be the most costly by a mile but still. Frankly I'd settle for getting to R35 a gig rather than what is being flashed as "sustainable"
 
Let us see if NSN can manage to stay alive long enough for this technology to be implemented.
 
Cell C's new Giga 200 promotion works out to R9/GB. I know it not the same (only 50GB peak time date, 150GB off-peak), but it's nice to already experience such great prices. Basically, this needs to become the norm.
 
Karri Kuoppamaki, head of technology for Nokia Siemens Networks in Africa, told journalists at a press briefing in Sandton that this is the solution to their projection that the average data usage per subscriber will be 1GB/day by the end of the decade (2020).

tl;dr We've been having it.
 
Add ANC to the equation, then Vodacom will sell 1Gig for R9 in 2040.
