Sansui 5inch Smartphone @ R1999,00

Seems electronics manufacturers are owning the mobile handset space now. Nokia, Siemens, Ericsson, Alcatel and even HTC are falling away.

Another manufacturer that's pushing Android's market gains forward :)

Seems like a decent phone for the price. The only thing I'm concerned about is the screen quality.

Somehow, this product doesn't make sense.

Huge screen, low specs, low price. And it is a smartphone.

I mean, in a country (in fact, a world - i.e. only 25% of all mobile phone shipments) where smartphones haven't really caught on yet, common sense would tell you that those buying even the 'low end' smartphones are somewhat diserning in their taste.

Now, putting WVGA display on a 5" screen with 5MP camera and 512MB running Android ICS doesn't say diserning to me at all. You really need to be desperate for a 5" to grab one of these.

They've increased the price to R2.5k. Silly Hi-Fi Corp...

Never made it to be a tablet

HiSense is also teasing the SA market with some Android phones. Interesting times ahead :)

Where did that Image come from? Because the website is back to normal and the deal has expired?

I bought it and is actually more than I expected, much more! Can run multiple apps in real time with no problems. Am happy with it.:)

Would be great if you could do a summary of your thoughts. Battery life, photo quality etc...
