Top TV Porn channel hearings

I've never understood why anyone gives a damn about TopTV and porn. The adult channels aren't going to just sit next to the documentary ones by default. You have to actively opt for the adult package and its password protected. If you don't want it you can just keep doing what you already are and not be bothered by it. Why maliciously deprive those who do want it?

Because there's some people in the world who believe their morality should be forced onto everyone else and that anything that deviates from that must be opposed at every turn. And they don't want to give people a choice either. Their way is the only right way, and that is a full-scale ban.

Sometimes they throw in "because the children" too.

I am not even remotely interested in those channels they're going to provide, I am however interested in the principle of the thing and that's why TopTV's got my support. Let the nannies go police themselves.

I have nothing against toptv launching some porn channels as long as they encrypted/password encrypted and only pushed to the decoder if the user subscribes to such service

I don't care either way. I don't subscribe to TopTV and I have DSTv just for sport. That said, what interests me about this is how the 'activists' crawl out of the woodworks. It seems they wait for opportunities like this and see it as free advertising for their 'cult'ure. Bring the popcorn, it's idiots in the making. One born every minute.

Seriously on topic though, as a kid, our dominee had the biggest porn collection of all yet he was the one preaching how "bad it was". Maybe he just needed better quality porn, who knows. Everyone has a naughty side, you're not reading this comment because your mom and dad never got frisky. Get over yourself. There's nothing wrong with it.

How must TopTV get Formula One when DSTV has the license for it in SA? DSTV has every major sports licence. And just as well too - this is one of the few countries that can give you coverage of everything in one place. Nobody wants to have to take out multiple subscriptions.
 
With the amount of easily accessible porn on the Internet and mobile, why is the softcore TV porn such a fuss? I don't get it.

This application is the last throw of the dice for Top.
Without this they can pretty much close shop.
