A while ago I got amobia round to my place to check out signal and all that jazz.

Unfortunately they cannot help me because there are may trees around the property and the 5ghz range will apparently not work well there. They recommend i give these guys (xpress) a call and check if they can help.

I went onto their site and filled in their contact us form (http://www.xpress.co.za/content/contact-us) and would have thought they would contact me within a few days.

About 4/5 days later I fill that form in again thinking something must have happened because they have not contacted me.

A week later i do some searching and find a cellphone number to contact them (I cant find anything on their site). I spoke to a seemingly nice gentlemen who said they would take my details and contact me on Monday (it was currently the Friday morning before that) when they want to come and do the site survey.

Monday comes and goes.

Does anyone have have a service with them?
Are they always this difficult to get hold of?
Do they like making money?

Any help would be nice.

Hi MDKza
I have been with Xpress now for just more than a year. Most of the time their internet bandwith is fairly good but yes, their after hour service is bad. In August I eventually had to drive to their offices in Monavoni to try and find contact details of Christo or Rian. The 2 of them are the senior techies of Xpress.
It just so happen that today, 13 Sept 2014, the internet feed from Xpress is pathetic. But from other threads today it seems the problem is country wide.
Contact me again if you need their cell numbers.

They are coming to my place on Monday to install. Pretoria.

Silentpiet, I agree with you. Since Friday, 26 Sep, when I perform a speed test I might see up and down speed close to my Xpress package spec but the latency is massive (normally 23ms is now 150ms). When I run pingplotter I find that about half of the hops indicate packet losses.
