Dubstep has got to be the easiest schit in the world to produce...:D

I'm scared now.... That's one dark sounding tune.

...and here I am fiddling around for an hour and all I have is a beat and a wobbly base patch.

Well I have been doing this for about 13 years now. Not much in the way of dubstep before though...

No problem. Was fun stuffing around with some D&B and dubstep elements. Still not sold on the dubstep genre, but what the hell...

I extended the mix a little for you to take it to 2 minutes - http://www25.zippyshare.com/v/67614588/file.html

I hated it so much, then just bit the bullet, and now I enjoy Skrillex and the latest IM album.

Music is music... :D

It is insanely repetitive though.

What did you think of my 30 minute track?

I want to punch your lead in the face. :D

Other than than, it's sounding good, how the **** you manage to put that together in half an hour is beyond me.

Regarding dubstep type wobbles, this is what I would love to be able to achieve, bloody amazing:

The bit starting @ 3:50!

I need to get my **** sorted. All this beat making is getting me inspired.

That's a layered bass - there's distortion on some hard strings/electric guitar layered and compressed with a heavy bass. Gotta play with some combo basses there. And for the wobble, you want low frequency oscillation (use sine oscillation) and play with the timing settings. Don't use a global timing or you won't have control of the oscillations per note. You'll have to automate each timing shift, as well as the actual depth of LFO (wet/dry mix). Those are the basics for a wobbly bass - then play to your hearts content...

Changed the pitch in v3 just for Saltex...:D

The point I was making was that dubstep has this habit of trying to turn the most annoying sounds into music. My original intention when I started playing with the lead VST (Harmless) was to replicate a mozzie with some pitch oscillation for that funky sound...

That high pitched sound just kills everything, I can't go past 30s

LOL. That was the point. I can't really stand dubstep as it involves repetition of some of the most annoying sounds known to humanity. So I decided to recreate the most annoying sound I could find (considering this is for the lols) and dubstep the fsck out of it. It gets easier to handle after the break...:D
