I noticed my Windows user folder was taking up a lot of space

MYUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash

which were full of large tmp files for the past two years. Deleted those files and now 4.5GB saved.

I assume these were youtube videos that crashed. Not even CCleaner cleaned it up.

My folder was 480MB in size, but I reformatted my pc a month ago.

Went into Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Clear browsing data and selected everything since beginning of time.

The size is now 34MB. :)

Did you try to clean your browsing data with Chrome's built-in tool?

No just used CCleaner in the past. At least I know now.

Chrome is incredibly memory intensive for me. I upgraded my ram to 16gb just to handle the weight of the Chrome tabs.
