we have been working on a new remote display product, called rPlay

In short, rPlay v1.0 supports Apple's Airplay protocol, including the latest Airplay Mirroring technology, so you will be able to send iPhone/iPad screens to a HDTV powered by a Raspberry Pi. It supports real time audio/video streaming.

This is the first time Airplay mirroring is implemented on raspberry pi devices.

A screenshot showing iPad mini with iOS 7 beta on Raspberry Pi is also attached.

Pretty cool for Apple + pi users. I wonder how responsive it would be with games.

From the youtube link:
Android version is also being developed.
Glad to hear this ^
/Been looking for a cheap android mirroring solution...

No need for an apple TV now, I emailed for beta, wonder what price will be when released.

They replied and going to email me a link later in the week.

Most Airplay mirroring solutions including Apple's implementation (Mac to Apple TV, or iPad to Apple TV) run with compression, so not too good IMO.

A direct Airplay uncompressed stream is required for good quality; Example: Apple's iPad Video App to Apple TV.

Damn but the rPlay works well even on wifi G speed.
Angry Birds on the big screen.

Been running rPlay and I must say it's very fast.

Full screen on iphone 5 and ipad 3 to big TV

Have you installed in on Raspbian or something else like RaspBMC?

Raspbian only so far, I have heard you can install it on Raspbmc with a little port tweaking.
Using airparrot on my laptop I can pickup the PI as well and stream my desktop videos and all with little stuttering over gigabit network.
Will try wireless N today.

I was curious if it relied on the x windows environment or not. I have a squeezeplug box (no X) that I was contemplating trying to install it on or a raspbmc load.

Not sure hey.

Got it working. Doesn't have to be running x. As long as you have high res terminal it launches.
