Mxit 7 launches on feature phones

Mxit 7 launched

Mxit announced the launch of Mxit 7 for feature phones, to be followed by versions for iPhone and iPad
 
They should do away with the whole offline thing and go the way whatsapp did. That is why I prefer whatsapp
 
Feature phones and Apple.
Have they heard of Android, or is an Android phone a feature phone?
 
People still use Mxit?

IMO, Whatsapp is way better and used by more people.

Yesterday night I noticed all their employees listed on my social media Apps changing their pics to Mxit 7... Is was like... Bwahahahaha!

You lot do realise that the MAJORITY of cellphone users in this country still use feature phones and not smartphones (this includes BlackBerry even though I wouldn't call a BlackBerry a smartphone)

iPhones, Droids, Windows Phone, CrapBerry still make up the minority of phones in this country, Nokia feature phones (Java) are far more popular.

It's probably around 1:4 of smartphone:feature phone here

Did you actually read the article?

The launch forms part of a phased rollout which will see Mxit 7 available on Android and BlackBerry devices in the coming weeks, and Windows Phone early in 2014.

Reading fail? The newer Android versions are coming soon, but there has been Mxit for Android for a long time.

The last time I used Mxit on Android it could notify you of messages even if you was offline.

You mean the 40 million plus South Africans still using feature phones?
 
i downloaded mxit just to see what its like...tried to use it but uninstalled very quickly
