StarSat promises 100 channels for subscribers in SA

100 channels of which I'm interested in maybe 2-3.

I'll be a guinea pig for you guys :D, sign me up. This is cheap and what i am looking for and i have some faith it won't be too bad. Let us see. o_o
 
be bold, be innovative.... give us the list of channels, and give the option to pay per channel, and only receive what we want.

I like this actually.

Weekends I go out to watch the Rugby anyway. (Gives me a reason to go out and see my friends or just get out of the house) +1

Other than that, 100+ channels at R199 p/m does not sound too bad. Even if there is re-runs. +1

If you buy the Decoder + dish cash and do the prepaid voucher thing, then there is no contracts involved.
If I dont want the service, I just do not buy the prepaid voucher. +1

The dish can be used with an openview HD decoder. +1

ai,.... looking at the list, i cant see more than 5 channels or so that may interest me, no Discovery or History ch...
for the little bit of tv time i have available in the week, i cant see this beating streaming content though

They do have Discovery Science (which TopTV also had) and it is excellent.

Kids channels are pathetic in comparison with DSTV.
 
Well R199 pm is not the end of the world. I'll keep an eye on this.
