E-toll shops lack foot traffic across Gauteng

What is sad is that the scare tactics are working on some and those people who succumb to those tactics will be the ones nailed the most by SANRAL.

What i can't believe is none of the ones on here who is against the e-tolls protesting or waving placards stating why people shouldn't buy e-tags.
Me, I don't need to buy e-tags cos here we don't have e-tolls.

Cedar Square has been generally busy nowadays with people in the shop (the weeks/months prior to the announcement the SANRAL staff was half asleep there). As I said, people will comply and e-toll will become a success - purely because South Africans are too scared to fight such non-sense (or are willing to put in any effort).
 
I think we should all troll them. Get a list of questions together and spend a hour holding up the queue asking questions.
 
The one at Alberton mall was empty too when passing by yesterday. I stress "passing by" because there's no way I'm buying an e-tag. If the non-existent people queuing in the e-toll shops are buying one, that's their prerogative.

What's the total rental and salaries that we have been paying with our tax money before anything has been recovered by e-tolls ?
 
I must say I am glad I get to watch this from a distance, my condolences to all the Gauteng residents and visitors who are going to have to deal with a lot of pain in the coming months.

Those etoll shops should offer free coffee and wifi, that would get them some traffic!
 
This is what South Africans do.,, We bitch and moan .. then when it happens we all comply...

those people who refuse to register will be in the minority .
 
Shops mean rent and more costs, how much is this whole e-toll thing costing on the ground, before they have even collected one cent. The whole business model is a disaster ..... but no that will never happen, Government will bail them out and they will increase the toll fees to compensate for all the extra unnecessary costs.
Could they not have used the Post Office services?

Where were the days where a tender was awarded to companies like Murray and Roberts and they built all the roads and council or provincial government maintained it and all of that could have been paid for out of the fuel levy, end of story.

Go to the voting station next year people and vote this corrupt and inept Government out of office.

When I contrasted how the apartheid government at least made sure infrastructure got built & maintained vs. the ANC who takes use of infrastructure away by overcharging for it, I was accused of longing for the apartheid years. :wtf:
