It sounds like the start of a stupid joke.

No comment from the law society? Don't they care about moral standards? Surely moral standards say something about professional standards?

Okay fair enough, maybe instead of sending them to jail(beheading what have you), why not, once found guilty, allow the family of the child choose the sentence? Although being attacked everyday in jail does sound like quite the harsh punishment, the family may see it fit for him to be fed to piranhas. Could imagine that to be quite the show.
