Afrihost Uncapped Pricing Review

Afrihost recently seem to be the last ISP to introduce new prices, they are no longer the cheapest option. These days any saving is really a help.

In this instance I actually think what they're doing is smart. ISP's, as per the front page article a few days ago, are battling to get their capacity rolled out and by keeping the status quo it is at least acting as a deterrent for customer upgrades and by default maintaining the integrity of the network.

Imagine the outcry if everybody moved over to a higher package at reduced rates when they are currently battling in terms of capacity.

It's best to wait until the capacity goes live.

I agree, but I hope it happens soon. I really want to move back to AH, but the 10mbps uncapped isn't affordable for me at the moment.

I do agree, but it would be nice to get some indication of possible prices. Like with the last price decrease the prices were not active until; the lines were upgraded.

In some cases a handful of patience is worth more than a bucket full of brains.

Look at Telkom... They've put the cart before the horse and now they're scrambling.

I would rather see Afrihost leave the pricing where it is now and add extra capacity....
Their network is performing great, so added capacity can only make it better...

If they drop the price, and therefore unable to purchase extra capacity, everyone will complain when it is slow....
