A camera is important to me so I found this Chinese site with comparison shots from the four flagships useful. Full images here: http://www.eprice.com.tw/mobile/talk/124/4899662/1/rv/sony-xperia-z2-review/ Be careful, translate messes up the format so difficult to tell which photo is which.
The main two I am focussing on, for now, is the S5 and the Z2 so I did some 100% crops from each to compare.
Interesting to see most of the Z2 shots appear to be too "soft" and the S5 possibly too "sharp". If I were to choose I'd pick the S5 purely because there is more detail as can be seen in the daytime crops below. My phone barcode scanner was able to read the S5 barcode, not the Z2.
In each case the Z2 crop is on top, the S5 crop at the bottom. Please note these are taken from three different images so it seems unlikely it was a focus issue on each occasion. If it was then there is a focus problem to be worried about.

I realise these things can be tweaked via software upgrades, and it is still early days, but I still find it interesting to do comparisons at these early stages. The Z2 has the sensor size (1/2.3" vs 1/2.6") and the pixel advantage (20MP vs 16MP) so theoretically it should produce better images.
I know many of you will argue against pixel peeking but it's something I like to do when assessing a camera. The overall picture is obviously most important though and these can be viewed on the link at the top of this post.
