I know you won't get much for that price, but someone asked me to get them the best ADSL router between R350 - R450.

It needs to have wireless for a small 3 bedroom house, wired ports are not an issue as they only use WiFi. All they need is a stable wireless connection for internet use only - i.e. no file sharing over the network. They have a maximum of 4 devices connected at any one time.

I have read bad reviews about TP-link, so not sure I would go that route... I've used a network that has a R400 300 Mbps Tenda and it has been very stable with excellent signal, but a D-link was used there for the DCHP host. Other then that I don't have much experience with cheap ADSL routers.

There is the Tenda router now going for R449 at PC Zone - http://zones.co.za/

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a to link mr3420
I changed the firmware recently to ROOter.

The mr3420 is very stable and fast.
I would recommend it

I would take a TP-Link router over D-Link or Tenda any day. I have several TP-Link ADSL routers that I have installed for friends and family whenever they ask me to help them with their ADSL and have never had a problem. Personally have 2 TP-Link wireless access points at home connected to a Mikrotik router. They've never let me down. I can't say the same for the crappy D-Link and Tenda routers I've tried in the past.

You get what you pay for. The TP Links are good routers

Uniterm give discount to MyBB members if you ask and they are infinitely better at support than Takealot. They are truly awesome guys

Uniterm are official resellers for TP-Link in South Africa so their aftersales support is going to be a LOT better than Takealot.

Since you aren't near them i'd just go with Takealot and let them deal with any issues that may arise

Can vouch for TP-link

Great bang for the buck!
