Likelihood of iOS8 being available after tonight?

Any idea...looking forward to installing iOS 8 but I believe the Gold Master had not been released to Dev's yet.

What's the probability that we will be able to update to iOS8 after tonight's proceeding?
 
Slim to none - IIRC the last few years there has been a week to ten days wait.

iOS 7 - event Sept 10 - release Sept 18
iOS6 - event Sept 12 - release Sept 19

Lol I just checked the same thing right now. Yes 7/8 days of so after the WDCC.

Okay guess we have to be a bit more patient
 
The new iPhone will probably be available from next week. I suppose that is when iOS 8 is going live.

I wouldn't mind if we got it tonight though :love::D
 
Usually the GM is available shortly after the event. Given the track record of the GM it's 99.9% sure to be the final version and you don't need a dev account to install it.

What part of 'available on the 17th of September' do you not understand?

The GM should be downloaded and then installed through iTunes. It is not available as an OTA upgrade.

It will be interesting to see if the mobile networks can handle the load come next week. If memory serves correct, the previous update to iOS7 had a huge impact on them.

Anyone get the GM update working, iTunes crashes on my MacBook (Yosemite)

No worries, already have it on an iPhone 5 and iPad, and not one hiccup so far.

One was a clean install and one an upgrade.
 
Got it installed on 5S, noticing it gets very warm when transferring all my music back on the device.
 
I'm liking the new OS - especially the new Hey Siri which is just what I needed for the car.
