The South Africa Police Service has divulged more information surrounding the death of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa.

The Orlando Pirates number one was shot and killed in Vosloorus earlier tonight, and the SAPS broke protocol on Twitter by providing more details of the senseless act.

“We can confirm that Bucs keeper Senzo Meyiwa has been shot and sadly declared dead on arrival at hospital.

“The incident happened at around 20h00, Zamo Section in Vosloorus. Reward of up to R150 000 is on offer 4 any info that can lead to arrest.

“No one present in the house was hurt... We can assure all South Africans that we will do all can to bring Meyiwa's killers book.”

UPDATE: "There were 7 people inside the house. Two suspects went into the house, one remained outside. The 3 fled on foot after the shooting."

Could it be the killers knew he was gon' be in that house so they went there to rob him? Sure seems like it to me.

7 people in house:

2 go in, 1 does the stake out and they just happen to kill the most high profile person in that house.
Also if you gonna rob a house with 7 people in it, wouldn't it be a good idea to have a car, in which you can put the stolen goods. Or rob it while everyone is sleeping...
Having people break into a home to steal a phone doesn't sound right, this looks almost like a hit, premeditated murder.

I agree, targeted hit.

Murdering lowlife criminal b@stards. I hope a kangaroo court get hold of the culprits and burn them alive.

I hope the estranged wife has nothing to do with this. Doesn't add up at all and it just happens to be the Mistress's house? Sounds like a hit, but then again its a dangerous neighbourhood
