Mobile devices are a company’s biggest security risk

One of the many good reasons why large enterprise's will not allow an "Android" mobile device on their system.

I understand why, but then you'll get the arseholes who will use this as a justification to ban cellphones at work.

Ban cellphones at work or ban cellphones on the corporate network? And isn't it justified when considering the risks? What good is it for a company when it allows employees to connect to the network? After all isn't it that all they want is to go cheap &download updates & share videos using company bandwidth?

You don't want me to connect to the corporate network, but you

1) Don't supply me with a device and cellular package
2) Expect me to read my email away from the office
3) Expect me to use Yammer/Slack/app of the day?

No. If you want me to use my personal device, you'd better allow me to connect it to the network.
