Good day Forumites,

I would love to set port forwarding on my router for things like MySQL, E-Mail, and other services I may be using. I have set up port forwarding on a D-Link router and the process was easy... There was a port forwarding web page in the router web admin interface that allowed me to do this.

This is a little tricky with the Netgear DGN2200Mv2 TELKOM router. From taking a wild guess as to how I would get around forwarding ports to my spare laptop (which I have assigned a static IP address), I thought I would go and add the port that I would like to be forwarded, as a Service, then go to Firewall rules and create a new firewall rule that will allow communication to and from this port, involving the spare laptop.

Is this the right assumption I have made? How would you go about setting up port forwarding?

Thanks

I am having the exact same issue. SauRoNZA, that guide doesn't apply to this router.

It is almost as if the port forwarding link is not available on this router. Perhaps if one enters it directly it might work. I have no idea what it would be, though.

That's pretty much exactly what you need to do.

Try giving it a restart after applying the rules and see if that helps.

Edit:NVM, I see that the OP is over a month old...

Old OP aside

Step 5:
Under the firewall menu click apply.

All should be good now.
