Jawbone UP2 prices for South Africa

Has anyone bought one of these? What did you pay? Is it worth it?

I'm looking for some basic tracking functionality. I don't want a smart watch (already tried that). Just want to be able to track steps, idle time etc. And I don't want to always have to have the tracker connected to a phone (like when out jogging for example)

Anyone have any feedback / recommendations?

(I also don't want to spend the earth getting one...)
 
I got one, because it just came out of medical savings, its ok, counts steps, tracks sleep, i dont log food or activity any more too much effort.
 
Same here. It was on special at Dischem for 799 or something which Discovery covered. Slap it on my wrist and connect it to my phone every day to see if I walked enough. The thing vibrates if you sit still for too long which is a nice reminder.

I have a Fitbit Charge HR, works very well. Has quite a lot of functions, including sleep analysis. No GPS.

dischem, you must take it to the over teh counter medicines and they will put it through for you.

and yes discovery. just remember it comes off your savings.

That's cool. I haven't been sick for ages so have some savings built up :)
 
For those who are interested, I went into Dischem, which actually had a fairly wide range of Jawbone, Fitbit, Polar and other fitness bands.
I opted for the jawbone Up2 for R1599. Discovery savings pocket covered it all.

So far it is exactly what I was looking for.
 
I know this is an old thread, but any of you guys maybe have an old UP charger cable lying around? Mine was stolen and no luck getting one from Jawbone internationally. They just refer me back to SA. Ugh.... (if you do, please let me know, Ill buy it from you or whatever. my UP3 is useless atm).
