Monster Asus Wi-Fi router unveiled

Why the hell did they not make this POE. for the 8 antenna's to be of any use, it needs to be mounted centrally and high up. Not in some corner of the house where most telephone lines end up being.

place it upside down to scare little kids and old tannies

Wi-Fi is the bees' knees until all the neighbors in the vicinity also think so and then it grinds to a halt.

"If you want stable, go with cable."

Still would like one though. As soon as they make client adapters that can keep up with it.

How exactly do your neighbours connect to your WiFi?

Interference due to limited spectrum when their networks are on the same channel(s).

Installing powerline networking made that problem go away and now the net rocks again.

I don't know how true these specs are https://wikidevi.com/wiki/ASUS_RT-AC5300 but 19V * 3.42A = 64W is a good deal higher than POE is ever going to do.
