10111 police emergency number broken: DA

Tried to call 10111 on Sunday, it rang and then went dead 3 or 4 times before finally getting through - once i got through, the operator was fantastic though! Serious compliment to the operator :)
 
Sometimes its better to have the direct line to your nearest police station, instead of a call centre's.

sector policing vehicles respond very quickly - police station, not so much.
as for 10111, put a roast in the oven, walk then wash the dogs & mow the lawn, then perhaps the call is answered

About two months ago I called 10111 to get ambulance service due to the ambulance number being dead, it worked...

Our emergency numbers,

- Emergency - Ambulance (10177) - incl. Fire Brigade
- Emergency - Cell phone (112)
- Emergency - National (10111)

Many people don't know about 112.
 
The 10111 number worked fine for my GF yesterday when reporting a group of guys chasing down and beating someone up right outside our property. Don't actually know what happened, as they moved off quite quickly.
