So now there are more pics of the all new Civic Sedan for the US Market.

We would get a Euro version that is yet to be unveiled.

Key reason for me posted this here is not the new 2L N/A engine but rather the new 1.5T motor. As you know the Japs have been very sluggish adopting small forced fed fed petrol engines with just the new CTR being the exception.

The 1.5 T makes 129kw & 220nm

Rather possible this engine would hit Euro & SA cars not too long.

Looks of the car is interesting to say the least as well....

I actually approve... I think it looks weird, but in a decent way.

Looks, cool. Love the idea of a Honda 1.5T, but worried the front design might age badly.

Design is a bit frustrating to me. Looks like it's on the verge of being awesome but ruined by too many fiddly angular creases.

I approve, looks very good and engine choice seems perfectly logical.

Are we definitely getting the Euro spec version this side though? I know we recently broke tradition and got the 'Murica spec Accord two years back, so perhaps something similar on the cards for the Civic?

Very likely SA will get the Euro spec Civic. It's way more bread & butter & likewise of much more importance for Honda SA than the Accord.

To this day I can count on 1 hand the number of US Accords I've seen locally vs the past Gen Euro ones.

Honda SA will not want to **** it up like they did with the Accord.

This is true, though I think their scarcity on our roads was due to the monumental ****up with pricing. They priced it at the same level as the Lexus IS350 F-Sport which came with more power, more kit and was a better car overall (I drove them back to back). You know it's bad when you test drive an Accord 2 months after launch, and they're willing to give you R20,000 off list price with R80,000 worth of optional extras thrown in...

It was nice having that 200kw 3.5L in an Accord though, the extra go was appreciated and I gave a sick E46 M3 a scare during my test drive.

R600k for the 3.5...eff me!

I won't comment on the universally disliked generic styling....

It looks "interesting" alright - not bad enough to call outright ugly, but not good enough to be called a stunner.

Also, it looks more fastback/coupe than sedan.

Yep. Friend of mine in the US just got one on Saturday. I'm jealous as hell.

Lol I highly doubt it's the new model...but cool nevertheless

"The newest member of the completely reengineered and reimagined 10th-generation Civic lineup - the 2016 Civic Coupe - will make its first public appearance at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. Launching in March, the 2016 Civic Coupe..."
