After having spoken to the company and having this crap stopped - it has started up again.

I could not find the original thread with the contact details (but eventually managed), so i decided to make it a lot easier to find by creating this thread (given we cannot change thread titles).
here is the link to the original, along with contact details of the company responsible:

right . . .
these messages are coming from a company called "perfect debt solutions", based in cape town.
their number is 021 8282800.
the manager's name is Zee - who has assured me he will remove my number from the system.

i hope for both of our sake's this happens

looking at the spam originator's numbers, it would seem this company keeps changing the "sender" number - but the text and contact details contained within the text remain the same (possibly trying to circumvent spam blockers)

It's not the company that changes the sender number, it's the network. Marketing smses are not sent from fixed numbers, the sender number is completely random. For example, if the company sent out 20 000 smses, every one of those 20 000 people will see a completely different sender number. That's just the way it works.

So I see they have a Cape Town number and I see grantza - Location:Cape Town.

Whenever I received such a "wrong" SMS (while I worked in Sandton, if they were in JHB) I would contact the company via e-mail and say, remove me now or I'll be there tomorrow afternoon and we can have this chat in person... always worked so far.

So you decided to spam the forum too. Ha ha!

Contact WASPA, it's the only way.

Sorry, who is WASPA?

When I came back from working overseas, my number had been suspended so I needed a new one. Unfortunately it seems my number was somebody else's before hand and I keep getting messages about bills/debts/traffic fines.
