The biggest ever prime number, and the amazing maths behind it

Fun article. I would suggest the author spending less time on the superstition side and more on the fact that prime search are normally done on exponentials of 2, less 1, ie (2^n)-1, which is the case with the number mention in the article.
 
Interesting article...except the 13 disciples, holy trinity, ladders and other superstitious nonsense with no bearing on reality.
 
Wanna take a wild guess what is wrong with that statement?

That he found a number that was already known? The wording could have been better, but no point harping on about it to an underpaid and mostly reposting website journalist.
