New car starting to act up

My wife bought a brand new Clio in December. The car has 3500km on it and the check injector warning just lit up. I did a bit of reading and it could be a number of issues, some of which can severely affect the reliability of the car in the long run if not fixed properly.


I'm going to take it back to Renault to have it checked out, but what type of protection are we afforded in this situation, CPA or otherwise? The car is under warranty but I'm scared we bought a lemon and we're going to get stuck with a car that's nothing but repair after repair. It's seems highly irregular for such a new car to develop injector or other mechanical issues.
 
The Clio is an amazing car and Renault have good after sales service. They will fix the fault. :)

Stop panicking before you need to panic.

But buying a French car in the first place is a mistake you'll need to live with forever...well until it or you die at least.

More often than not if a light comes on but the car is running fine, then it's a false positive.

Clio is a great car I agree,but when we owned one, we had endless nightmares with the service center we used.

Luckily that service center closed down, because one time after a service they forgot to bolt the air filter down causing the throttle to get stuck and we nearly had a very messy accident.I still remember after calling them that they tried to blame the nuts and bolts on the air filter and told us that they wear out after x amount of kilometers. :wtf:

Yikes, that is not cool. They should admit it when they made a mistake. :eek:

Not panicking so much as planning for the worst-case scenario im case it's not just a blown fude or something. I got burned badly twice this year because I assumed things were going to work out since I was "covered". If I had done my due diligence and been a bit more paranoid I could have saved myself thousands of Rands. When you get screwed over twice due to dishonest vendors you inevitably become a bit paranoid.

We did some research before we bought the car and oddly enough the Clio scores better than average in terms of reliability.
 
The fuel could have gotten some dirt in it and caused a blockage in the injector.

Agents will fix it.
 
Yea, just do it sooner than later.
If you ignore the error till the next service, the agents can claim abuse if you did not take proper care of your car!

Find a quiet road and red line it in first second and third , that may clear the problem .

Is this sarcasm? I can honestly say I've never had worse, and I've owned a lot of different car brands, though this was my first Renault. But maybe it depends on your area.
