Get your Smart ID card online – eHomeAffairs launched

Just on the note of creating a certified copy of your ID. Because your face is on the one side if the card and the barcode on the other, it's a bitch to copy both sides on one piece of paper.
 
Has anyone been able to make a booking? Doesn't seem like any branch has appointment slots.

Why would you need to create a certified copy of your ID?

Also getting the same error. Will try again later in the day.
 
South African citizens aged 30-35 may now apply for their passport or Smart ID card online.

FAIL. That is the age group of the ANC "Youth" League.
 
I'm 33 and i get : "We are unable to register you right now, please contact your nearest Home Affairs branch for assistance."
