13 Limpopo schools razed in violent demarcation protests
Residents from Vuwani and other surrounding areas reignited violent protests in the area on Sunday after losing a high court case to reverse a decision by the demarcation board to include them under the new Malamulele municipality.

Sigh, will this country ever move forward. Why burn down the very things that is supposed to uplift your children?

Don't rebuild them. Let them see what happens when public infrastructure is destroyed.

They are people who have no concept of the future.

They should just be left to rot IMO. The money can be better spent on people who might value such an investment.

I doubt that the schools were razed (as in completely destroyed, as opposed to being burnt down or torched)...

They look pretty ruined to me.

Who needs schools when the government and the rest of society will uplift you?

I think this thread has earned the official TIA™ stamp of approval.

MOFO, if someone tried to do that to my school when I was a kid I would have faught back. No excuses for this ****e and mentality

To be honest, I probably would have loved it as a kid. No school! Wheeeee!

As an adult, however, well...facepalm.

Used to dream of arriving at school one morning only to find the entire building razed to the ground. Thankfully though, that never happened.

On a more serious note, do goverment schools have insurance and would insurance cover damage of this nature?

The Tax Payers will just fork out... don't you know they are an unending source of cash?

No words needed, it's the culture ....... then they can turn around and blame someone/apartheid for having nothing. Viva.
