Looking at the current info available for the two consoles, it might just be. But we will have to wait for the consoles to release to be sure.

According to the rumored specs of the Neo vs the confirmed specs of the Scorpio, the Xbox definitely has the upper hand.

Sony hasn't confirmed any specs though and just said there will be no info about the Neo at E3.
After finding out what Microsoft has in store, they probably decided to hold out for now and go back to the drawing board.

While the hardware specifications weren’t announced, Microsoft did reveal that its upcoming console would feature:

6 TFLOP/s floating performance rating
8 CPU cores
320GB/s memory bandwidth
True 4K gaming

That would put it just a bit lower than a gtx 1070 which also means it's not a true 4K console unless you want to plod along at low fps in aaa titles.

I can't see this being cheap either if those performance figures are true.

Won't be cheap... but definitely will be a decent console and something I will get!
