Hi Friends.

I had a 10Mbps ADSL line running on a Netgear DGND4000 router. I upgraded to 20Mbps and my line synced at roughly 22Mbps.I then decided to upgrade to 40Mbps VDSL but now my line syncs at only 15Mbps, i then learned that my DGND4000 wasnt VDSL2 compatible so i bought an ASUS DSL-AC68U but even on the Asus the line syncs at only 15Mbps.
According to Telkom although the upgrade has been processed the technician hasn't done the necessary changes on the exchange yet, is that the reason for the 15MBps sync?

Can anyone tell me what i need to change , to get VDSL running (Once the technician has done the changes on the exchange) ?

Here are a few screenshots:
Currently the router is set to ADSL as the technician has not yet switched my line over to VDSL:

I assume once i am on VDSL i should delete the ADSL profile in the previous image and create a new one for VDSL ?

Here are further VDSL settings, what should be the settings ? :

There is also this screen which i need some help with:

Any help would be highly appreciated.

I have similar ASUS router, but only ADSL, on the office one with VDSL I had to specify a VLAN to make it work.

Transfer Mode: VDSL WAN (PTM)
WAN Connection Type: PPPoE
802.1Q: Enable and put 835

and the normal Username and password

Let me know if you are sorted, if not, I'll get screenshots of my router

Cool can i ask you a favour perhaps? Could you you check under DSL log what emulation its running at?

For ADSL ITU G.992.5(ADSL2PLUS)

As mentioned in my first post, I have the ASUS connected at home with ADSL and a other brand at office in PTA on VDSL,

So not so sure that I can do screen grab on my ASUS (that it would work for you)

Are you battling to get the router up?

On VDSL yes, my emulation still says the same: ADSL ITU G.992.5(ADSL2PLUS)

Does that mean that Telkom HASN'T upgraded my line yet?

I don't think they did. I was stuck on 20Mbps adsl2+ until someone helped me to push me to VDSL. Now when I force my router to us ADSL it does not connect at all so I think they have not set your profile correctly.

How long were you stuck for,til they fixed it?What should i tell them when i call?

I have the same problem as well.

i phoned them and they reckon it still on adsl 2
my sync speed are 30 meg down and 1 meg and VDSL should be 10:1 in terms of upload.

so also not sure what is going on here..

BTw i am also using an ASUS modem
