Question APEXISP - Alienware deal - LEgit or not?

Hi, My name is Paul and I am the owner of Apex. And the price is correct. The price is an inductive promotional price. The laptops are new and are in their original boxes, but they are not the latest version of the Alienware range. If you read the product specs you will see that they have generation 4 CPUs, which is 2 behind the current version.

Looks like I will have to put the price up if no one wants to buy the laptop at a steal of R9000.00. I will be getting a sample laptop, and I will post pics. And for those who want to see the laptop in person, please drop me a email at [email protected] and when I get the sample I will invite you to come and have a look.

Hi Apexisp

Where are you located?
Are the laptops fully functional?
No scratches/dents or other marred attributes?
What's the warranty?
What's the return policy?
How long have you been in operation?

I'm sure you understand that when something appears too good to be true, it is usually too good to be true.

Do ye smell that smelly smell... Ps. Whats inductive?

Those graphics... 16GB of RAM? Where can I get one of those, I would like one :p

On the bottom of the page...

"*Please note that the price is an inductive promotional price. The item is an imported item and relies on the exchange rate. Apex has the right to change the price in accordance with the rate of exchange. This item is not a stock item. Please allow extra lead when ordering of about 7 working days."

I wouldn't recommend you use this site at least not until they implement some security, all account info is sent over plain HTTP - they do use a third party payment service so transactions are probably secure but it just doesn't inspire much confidence when a shopping site has absolutely no SSL.

1. The ads use the Visa/Mastercard logo - however if you go through the checkout process, the only payment option is to use an "I-Pay" instant EFT service.
2. The I-Pay site promptly asks you for the username and password of your online banking credentials (to connect to your bank apparently).

Hi Sodan,

I am located in Boksburg. My ecommerce store has been in operation for 3 weeks. I have just started up. So, please guys take it easy on me. I am waiting for my supplier to send me the sample laptop, from there I can see what the actual quality is. As I have only seen photos of the laptops that my supplier has sent me. And from what I see from the photos the laptops look original and in good condition. My supplier assures me that the laptops are new and original. I am hoping to receive the sample in the next few weeks. I will post pics on the forum once I have received the sample. So, please be patient.

Great to see that someone actually reads webpages. The price shown on my store is an introduction market price for a limited time. I have haven't decided what the time period will be as yet. But keep an eye out for the time limit.

Hi, sorry for the confusion with the credit card logos. I have removed them from the website, so there won't be anymore confusion. I chose to use I-pay as my payment gateway, they use thawte security to secure your payments and have the lowest rates of any of the payment gateways. i-Pay takes you directly to your Internet banking for payment, where you can pay with your cheque, savings or credit card accounts and then i-pay take you back to the Apex website.

If you are not comfortable using the I-pay payment gateway then please use the normal EFT option.

Hi Guys, Bad news I am afraid. Turns out my supplier was scamming me. I not only lost my samples but I also lost money. I do apologize to you all.
