Trying to cut your drinking? There’s an app for that

Australia is known to be a nation of drinkers with almost 18% having a drink on a daily basis at a level that is considered risky.

But the ill-effects of such behaviour extend to binge drinking, impacts on health and well-being, assaults drink driving with resulting car accidents and many others.

So a self-help program that happens to be in an app?

meh, was hoping for something more tech-savvy like using the accelerometer to detect if you can walk in a straight line and once you pass certain thresholds the phone starts spamming you with horrific images of drunk driving crash victims or sends a pic of your shytface state to the wife at home ...

so you need to somehow keep inhibitions while drinking and partying?? haha. yuupp ill follow some app on my phone when im pissed, suuuure.

an irremovable shock collar or shock armband that measures alcohol level from sweat or skin will be better, if you are too drunk and about to take a sip it shocks you. lol, drinks flying all over the place will probably lead to bar fights.

No app is going to help you if you don't want to quit or are already an alcoholic. The only app that might make a difference is Calendar.

Bookmark every Friday evening your next AA meeting.

Calculator and tight budget usually does the job for you.
