How to disable Voicemail diverts on MTN?

Hi all.

I want to completely disable voicemail on MTN.

I have disabled call waiting, but now the 2nd call diverts to voicemail. What I want is for it to give a busy tone and end the call.

Also, when the phone is off or out of coverage it must just give a generic message that says something like "the number you have dialed is not available right now" or just disconnect the call completely.

I have tried all the gsm codes to disable call divert when off/busy/out of coverage etc, but I whatever I try it still goes toe voicemail.

I managed to disable call waiting with the gsm codes, so it seems as if MTN does not want to disable voicemail with ease.

I have seen different threads here about this issue and it was always solved by Dr Data, but he didn't answer my pm and I don't see him posting here anymore...

I appreciate any assistance.

U have to phone 808 for them to disable vm. Had same issue as you and I had to phone

Do I just request to disable voicemail or does it have some fancy term?

Sorry for late reply. Yea just call them and say you want to deactivate VM

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I was wondering the same thing, and got the solution after phoning 808. So for anyone else searching for this in the future, you can disable MTN voicemail by dialing ##002#.
