Dropbox is killing free webpage hosting

That's not a reason. It's a feature that's taken away and Dropbox didn't say why.

It's not a feature, it's a file hosting service that people were using to host websites via public folders. The feature they're removing is to render html pages that enabled this loophole...

That's not a loophole. Why would you allow certain files to render and not others? Dropbox knew very well this would happen if you add that functionality. It's a feature.

It can't be coincidence that this comes just after the massive Dropbox security breach was reported. It must be security related.
 
000webhost has been compromised so many times... as long as what you're hosting doesn't contain any sensitive data sure

I agree. For a quick test page or clan website it should be a perfect replacement for Dropbox in this scenario

Yeah sure. Out of interest how much storage do they offer? Site is restricted on firewall at the moment, not just being lazy :P
