50GB free data per month for renewing your MTN contract

This is like the Pinocchio story where the boys are lured with candy to what they think is a playground, but then they turn into donkeys. :D

On second thought, where do I sign up? Yee-haw!

My mom got the 50 gigs free, no FUP/UAP it downloaded torrents like a dream.

Sounds too good to be true. 50GB per month for R289! This won't end well...

"In an SMS sent to qualifying customers, the network said if you renew you will get 50GB of free data and 10,000 MTN-to-MTN voice minutes every month."

"The only condition is that you take a contract with a minimum subscription of R289 per month."

I read that as "You will get 50GB once-off and 10'000 MTN to MTN minutes per month. The skeptic in me says so...

I find it hard to believe.

Yip, me too. Means anyone can take a month to month line and upgrade it to get 50gb for R289pm.

From the article wording it appears MTN have limited the potential free for all by excluding new contracts.

depends what the small print is? how do you (and MTN?) interpret the sentence " you will get 50Gb free data..... stop.... and 10000 minutes every month" ... so data once off and very usefull :) free minutes to call , is my guess..
i'm skeptical about 50Gb per mo each month... lets see the official announcement first
can they be that hard-up for keeping customers?

It's 50GB once off that must be used within 30 days. Please get your facts straight mybb.
