Exactly. My grandfather's ashes is in the wall there and even I only visit it once every few years. My gran goes every few months, but only in the week.

If they just inform the runners that there will be an event on a given Saturday, people will obviously understand - don't bloody charge for it. I assume this drove the businesses on the premises (coffee shops etc.) down the sewer, and they quickly realised it - 5 and a half months isn't really a long gap.

Yup, North Beach and Suncoast Casino have an arrangement, get there before the start and show your barcode and parking is free - Suncoast realized pretty quickly that close on 2000 runners every Saturday is gold when it comes to restaurant revenue..
 
Operating a museum and then being sad when people actually come to it.
