Next week I start a job that pays R4000. AMA.

Congratulations. Having a job isn't only about the money, it's also good for your self esteem.

What's the potential for promotion?

Probably not a lot, I'm not sure. It's a retail job, so there might be commission I still gotta hear.
Problem is I was in between other jobs and both were negatively affecting my health smh.

I did that a while ago, dropped to a job paying R5000 p/m with waaaaaaay less stress, did not last long. Still at same company, with same stress and pay as I had before I joined.

Edit: This made me understand the reason people don't wanna take you when you are overqualified. Its to dam had to ignore idiots when you know how to do things properly.

It's a foot in the door, OP. It's experience on a CV. Here's sincerely hoping that it'll lead to bigger and better things.

Making any lifestyle changes to help the salary go further?

Is it a full time job?

How long do you expect to be doing it?
Yeah 185/month
Not sure on duration, maybe until I get moved or fired(lol) or find something else.

idk, already downgraded my car a few months ago. R.I.P
Doing what?

I was a Customer Service Associate, Digital/Retail and Kindle Department all US marketplace people, picked up a mean American Accent while doing it too :)

I just find it shocking that they even have a single person on staff that they pay so little.
