Speed battle between Vodacom and MTN

Kathu (about 10 000 poeple) Has a massive problem when it comes to vodacom. The towers is so congested that during the peak time day and night you can't even open a bloody speed test.

Last year I complained about it on twitter.. They came back to me and told me that the only way they can fix it is putting up more towers in 2017.. they still can't give me a date. But vodacom keeps bragging about how good network they have and they cover 99% of SA. Also they best speed. I am sitting here posting this off cellc because I can't open mybroandband page during the day on vodacom.

Useless

You have LTE there?

You can clearly see that there are more higher yellow blocks than red ones which means that MTN generally gives higher speeds than Vodacom but Vodacom is most likely slightly higher because of a few extra fast speedtests or because of a few extra slow speedtest from MTN.

That said if you look at the overall graph I would say MTN took this one.

So why don't you drive a decent fast car then ? :D

This is actually a good car analogy.

A fast car that you can only drive around once a month, or a slower car that you can drive around the whole month. Which would you choose?

once you have enough bandwidth, latency is more important

even more important than that is the packet loss, or even the number of failed tests.

myBB, how about publishing the failed tests by network.
