On a seperate side note. Im looking at setting up a 4 card rig running RX470's or RX570's. Would a Gold rated 750W be sufficient?

You'd get away with it but not for long get the EVGA 1000watt

Also 470s don't get manufactured anymore.
 
I hear you. Principle being that a 1000Wat Gold rated is best bet.
In my opinion, our GTX1070 rigs pulls in 677watt which is 67% of what the 1000watt can do. Which is a bit high for me if I want this psu to last 10 years.

Get an 850Watt to be safe.
 
That article makes perfect sense. Crappy PSU...excess energy to heat..wasting power. Platinum PSU more efficient as less excess energy to heat.

I feel like this peon might become a grunt soon.
