On an exchange (luno, ice3x etc.)
Software wallet (Electrum, jaxx etc.)
Hardware wallet (Trezor etc.)
Offline/cold wallet (paper, usb etc)

Curious about where people are storing their digital loot as I'm thinking of taking mine offline onto a flash or paper. The more I invest the less I want my wallet at the mercy of a company or service like jaxx. Is there much difference between keeping it on an exchange (luno) vs. a software wallet (jaxx) - are they not both dependent on the service provider sticking around?

Ripple at Gatehub.
BTC at BitGo.
Little bit of everything at Poloniex for small trading.

Will move some to a hardware wallet once my portfolio value justifies the cost.

Luno and Mycelium. Still "listening" to all the talk around here for something better. Exodus ? Also "looking" for an exchange where I can import my private key from Mycelium to get hold of the BCH.

I use various apps. I like Electrum so I use it for BTC and various electrum ports for other coins if available. Also use Jaxx but only for stuff where I can't find a better solution.
Regardless of which program I use, the actual data is all stored on an encrypted USB drive, I only plug it in when transacting which means it's disconnected 99% of the time so I figure that's pretty secure.

Where are your seeds stored?
I store mine in the cloud in an encrypted file. Key for that encrypted file is on another cloud service. Password for that file is in my head and 'hidden' on paper.

Yea I back mine up in pretty much the same way, encrypted on cloud server, key on different cloud service, pass phrase in head.

- Exodus
- some other coin specific wallets

All running (code + data) in an encrypted folder on a Linux VM the storage of which is itself in an encrypted folder.
The virtual machine is also off 99% of the time.

Maybe a bit overkill - just not having a wallet running in Windows should be fine for most.

Luno - it works for me. What else do you want from a phone app?

BTC and ETH in Exodus - these two make up more than half of my portfolio
All other coins are kept on Bittrex, if Bittrex doesn't trade a particular coin than I'm not interested, however if I really feel strong about the future of a coin and Bittrex doesn't support it, I download the coins wallet

Why does everyone have an issue with Luno?? i find nothing wrong with it.

I use Luno, Bittrex and Exodus

Exodus is pretty cool but i have not played much with it just have some OMG in it
