It look like it heats or boils the water, and then the droplets fall into a glass bottle. There is also a fan on the top. I am sure after a short few years the fan will need replacement.

The water does taste well but a 4,5 liter every 3 hours and as it falls into the glass is hot, for R7000 I will not buy it.

What do you think of this.

It distills the water as per the page you linked.
50% of people will say it's bad to drink, the other 50% will say it's the best to drink.

The question isn't whether it works, it's whether you want to drink distilled water all the time.

Looks like it’s making distilled water, then filtering it though charcoal. Feels a hit over the top
The charcoal is there to affect the taste. Without it it tastes very odd, flat, unusual etc.

nice for topping up your car battery

I have a Distiller. I use it for something else. I make 5l distilled water once every month. I use it for car battery, Radiator water and cleaning oil from PCB boards. The last I made 25l distilled water to flush radiator. Buying distilled water cost R10/l.

I say its bad to drink. I also use it for ICE Cubes.

Yes it is very bad to drink, in a nutshell it actually removes minerals out of your body over a period of time.
