Hi,

I bought some Ethereum Friday afternoon, so the orders filled Friday evening. Their support closes over the weekends, and emailing them equals no response.

Basically, I want to withdraw my Ethereum to an Exodus ETH wallet address, or to another exchange.

When trying to withdraw from Altcointrader, I get this message : "Please email support, withdrawal not permitted at this stage".

Great, so now my ETH is stuck there, and I wanted to buy some other altcoin Friday, now its nearly late thanks to Altcointrader and its non-existant support. (its price has already spiked by $5 this morning).

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do right now?

So you expect them to run a 24 hour call center for you?
You will have to wait till Monday to get assistance, I have found their support to be very good.

Thats not what I am saying, if they had support that was good, all this should have been done by Friday morning. I deposited FNB to FNB on Wednesday morning, and they only credited my account Friday afternoon. I would have thought that 2 days should be enough! It was their fault this has taken so long firstly with my deposit and now with my ETH withdrawal. I could only buy obviously because THEY took long.

Okie dokie, sorry, you gonna have to wait till tomorrow, maybe use another exchange if you not happy.

Use BTC if you want to buy altcoins...
Very often the eth/alt rate is better.
Rand also goes a bit further buying eth.
Besides - why would you want to spend ZAR on the strongest currency first? That's like buying GBP to buy HKD or something.

I have had enough of altcointrader. The issue is while you wait for them, moneys are lost. Do you know of other local altcoin exchanges?

Just but Bitcoin and eth locally and use any one of the many intentional exchanges to buy other alts. Not sure why it needs to be local?

Local so I can you my FNB to their FNB for deposit / withdrawal
Are you buying ripple directly with zar on their site? (Sorry I'm not at PC now to check altcoin radar)

Lucky you.
They are terrible with sending currency out. Took 1 week for my BTC before I cancelled the withdrawal and just sold it. Next time you hear from support, take a closer look at that email address :crylaugh:

Yes they terrible. But keep in mind that BTC has a enormous transaction backlog. I use LTC and XRP to transact between them and other exchanges. My LTC transactions usually completes under 10 mins

That's not the issue. If it was, the transaction would at least have shown up as pending on the blockchain within a week. Sure, not a big amount (R5k)... but a week and nothing to show for it?

At least they share their physical address

But seriously, if you go to the trouble of registering a domain name, why not just pay for a separate email address, instead of responding to support queries from:

A quick google of that po box gives you an idea of how dedicated the support is going to be.
Among businesses registered using that PO / physical address are save the waterberg rhino NGO, brine shrimp, seamonkeys, Allure fishing lures, Bass fishing trips, Netspace ISP, Keep a pet CC, charitybox.org.za

Totally above board, but ja...
