A few years ago a family friend bought us this Samsung sound system, made use of it through playing music off USB and watching some dvds back then.

Now I have it in my lounge and the speaker wires are making it look really untidy, also have no use for it any more unless I could make the speakers wireless but I doubt its possible.

I also don't want to sell it due to it being a gift to us. See image below of the speakers and DVD.

Could there be other uses for it?

Other uses besides being used as a sound system?

You either stick it in another room to use as a sound system, or sell it or give it away to be used as a sound system.

Or use the components as paper weights or door stops.

I find it a bit of an odd question to be honest.

seen several people just building a partition to mount tv/sound etc onto then hiding the cables behind it...

I was thinking of doing that, I was wondering if it's possible to like connect an TV box to it to give it some surround sound. But I'm not entirely sure how. Maybe the use the Av cables then I could place the speakers at the corners of my lounge

they work awesome in a garage for those days tinkering on things.

This one also came with it and is quite loud, bass is incredible. I saw ways to convert it to Bluetooth using some adapter but the input is not the regular 3.mm jack.. IMG_20180219_131646.jpg

Installing it properly would go a long way to hiding the cables. Put the centre speaker on top of the tv, and mount the front and rear speakers in their respective corners. Run the cables through some trunking to the ceiling and through the ceiling to the speakers.

What sort of inputs does the system have? Hdmi would be ideal, but you you can find a solution for any streaming box cheaply and easily enough.
