To give an idea of the scale, the diameter of that engine's front fan, expressed in metric units, is 3.4036 metres. That's very close to the 3.54 metre cabin width of the Boeing 737 aircraft that our domestic airlines (except SAA, which flies the A319/A320 instead) operate.
