Naspers to sell 2% of its stake in Tencent

If they are selling $10.6 billion out of their total stake of $175 billion, then Naspers has sold 6% (not 2%) of it's stake in Tencent.

The last few weeks I heard warnings all round RE Naspers and investors having to many eggs in the Naspers basket. I'm not a expert, apparently Tencent forms a huge part of why Naspers shares is doing so well and without Tencent or should Tencent suddenly have a big drop, the guys currently riding the Naspers wave will have a hard fall. Basically if it wasn't for Naspers our JSE would have looked very bleak and if it wasn't for Tencent then Naspers would look very bleak compared to how it looks currently.
Morrel of the story, don't have all your eggs in one basket and don't have too many eggs in the Naspers basket.

Smart move to cash in a bit on their windfall. My concern is the health of the rest of the operation. Think the success of Tencent might mask the issues elsewhere.

They should be buying more of Tencent. It would be best if they raised their stake by selling all Naspers subsidiaries into Tencent and then delist Naspers and dual list tencent on the JSE.
